(Source)Favorable conditions for mustard germination include moist soil and a soil temperature of roughly 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Under these conditions, mustard will emerge from the soil in five to 10 days.

Jesus’s answer to the disciples is that they have been given the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but those who are uncommitted to him do not understandJesus didn’t baby-feed people. If they wanted to know the truth, they would have to put in a bit of effort in order to search for it. And if they searched for it, they would find — because that’s a promise that Jesus shared with us in Matthew 7:7-8. (Seek and you WILL find.
Jesus was very aware of the Pharisee’s plan to snag him. He knew they ultimately wanted him dead. Yet, throughout the Gospel, we see him continue to show love and shrewdness.

John 6:35-40 NLT
